Iraqis Find Body of Archbishop

In this article, the body of a Catholic archbishop, Paulos Faraj Rahho, was found in a grave in Baghdad two weeks after he was kidnapped.  Pope Benedict XVI, President Bush and Iraq’s prime minister all regret the death of the archbishop.  There is no one that is claiming responsibility for kidnapping and killing the archbishop.

First of all, I think the Iraq War is uncalled for.  I also think that it was wrong for who ever that kidnapped and killed the archbishop.  I don’t even think they have a good excuses for killing him.  He was a Catholic and who ever killed him would get great consequences from God because of killing him and plus he was religious.

Pre-loaded Viruses Lurk Inside iPods, Electronics Built in China

In this article, it was found that electronic made in China has a pre-installed virus in them.  The virus can steal passwords and open doors for hackers.  Your computer can easily get infected by the virus just by plugging in the device in to your computer.  They said for now the virus is coming from lax quality control instead of hackers.

Personally, I don’t like China because they are trying their best to kill all of us.  They are shipping us toxic toothpaste, poisonous pet food and toy trains coated in lead paint.  I don’t know what we did to them that was so wrong that makes them want to kill us so badly.

N.C. Teen Charged in 2nd College Slaying

In this article, Laurence Alvin Lovette Jr., a teenager, that was a suspect of a University of North Carolina killing was now charged with killing a graudate student at Duke University.  He was charged with first degree murder for killing the graduate student, Abhijit Mahato.  Authorities are not sure if the killing at Duke University and the University of North Carolina are both related, but robbery was involved.

I think that if he did commit the crime then he should be happy to do the time.  I know that if he was never caught, then he would have went to another college, kill somebody else, steal from them and try to get away again.  To me, I’m glad that they found the person who did the killing.

Obama Meets Secretly With Ex-Rival Edwards

This article is about when Barack Obama was seen leaving from former presidential candidate John Edwards home in North Carolina.  Officials from WTVD were in a helicopter taking a video of Obama leaving his house on February 17, 2008.  Producers from WTVD said they were tipped off about the meeting between Obama and Edwards.  Edwards feel that Obama is not ready to be president.

Personally, I think that what that Obama does is non of the media’s business.  Whatever he does is probably going to help him be president.  He is just trying his best so he can become president and make the United States a better place to live in.

Owners of Fast-Food Eatery Settles Bias Lawsuit

This article is about when a teenager got fired from Burger King because of a hearing aid.  The same day Jordan had got hired for the job, 10 minutes later while he was in training he was fired by the owner.  After the owner saw that Jordan had hearing aids in both ears, he said he doesn’t want that look in his store.

I think that it was wrong for the owner to fire him because of hearing aids.  What he had did was discrimination; it was wrong.  I know for a fact if he had a hearing aid and his boss had fired him because of that, he would of been mad and he really wouldn’t like it.  “Don’t do onto others that you wouldn’t want done onto you”.

Voting on ending three-month-old strike

This article is about WGA members wanting to vote on ending the writers strike that had last for three months.  They will have a vote on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, to find out if the strike will end.  If the strike ends, the writers will return back to work on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.  Once they start back working, the T.V. networks are going to have to choose which shows to put back on the air and which shows not too. 

I think if the strike ends, they should start going back to work on Monday not on Wednesday.  Just because they were on strike and they haven’t been working for three months doesn’t mean that they have to go back to work the next day.  They should at least have some time to think of a new script for the shows that the networks chooses to put back on the air.
